Lucy Given
The curator

An island home, a designer’s eye.

Originally from Tasmania, with three decades of design work behind her in Melbourne, Sydney, London and Florence.

Lucy Given returned to her island home to found LUC in 2013, bringing thirty years’ experience in interior design and retail with her. The shop on Macquarie Street is the result of that — an evolving curation of pieces that earn their place by being beautifully made, well-considered, and built to last.

The brands stocked here include houses you already know — Tom Dixon, Herman Miller, Vitra, Kartell, Alessi, Missoni, Cultiver, Dinosaur Designs, Armadillo, ferm LIVING — alongside boutique makers from Italy, Denmark, Sweden, France and home. Every piece is chosen personally.

Lucasa · The in-house range

Where rugged
meets refined.

Lucasa is LUC’s in-house range of homewares, art and objects — a tribute to our island home, made in collaboration with Tasmanian artists, designers and makers. Each piece is a unique reflection of the pristine, wild, inspiringly beautiful nature of Tasmania.

It’s the closest thing we have to a love letter to where we’re from. Each season’s small collection introduces new collaborators, new materials, new ideas of what “home” can mean here.
